Christmas 2010...

The kids at Santa's village here in town.
Well, Christmas has now come and gone in our home, however the memories we made will surely last a lifetime. We had a marvelous Christmas. We missed being close with family, but we truly enjoyed being together here as our little family, and hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas with many memories. First off I want to publicly thank my Heavenly Father for this year. We have been so blessed, and this year we were able to do a lot for the children that we normally have not been able to do up to this point. And for all of that I am very grateful. Now on to our Photos.....and a very funny video at the end...(Oh and the captions say whats going on in each photo)

Cute Reindeer ornaments that they made at Santa's Village

These are Vanessa's nails.  This was part of the girl's Christmas presents from mommy.  They beg me for this every time I get mine done.  Now they got theirs done.

These are Sabrina's nails.  This was really a fun day the three of us getting our nails done.  Then we went to lunch.  It was so nice to have a true girls spa day out.

Isaac with Santa at our Ward Christmas Party

Vanessa with Santa and eating a popcorn ball...that's what this Santa was handing out..yummy!!

Here is our gingerbread village BEFORE we decorated it.  I loved the fact that I used my glue gun (a tip from numerous friends) to put it together..no more overnight waiting to set up.

Here re the kids ready to decorate with different typed of candy in each different bowl.

Sabrina doing her house.  She is just like me...very artsy and takes her time to do something pretty.

Isaac doing his house.  He loved doing this.  He likes to help me in the kitchen a lot.

Here is Vanessa.  She loved to decorate too, but she also loved to taste test all the candy.  Had to make sure it tasted good before she put it on her house.

And Voila...the finished Village.

Here is our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of...Tacos.  Thanks to my sweet Sisters husbands family for this one.  It is quite yummy.

And Isaac opening his traditional Christmas Eve gifts of New Jammie's and books.

Vanessa opening her Christmas Eve gifts

And Sabrina opening her gifts.

And finally all of them IN their new Jammie's and holding their new books

And here is a new tradition we started as part of our family home evening on Christmas Eve..a Family Game to play together that evening with our dessert and then to use the game throughout the year.

And here we are...my happy gang with their new Jammie's, and getting ready to eat their dessert and play the game.  It was a lot of fun too.  Many many smiles and laughs were had by all.

And here is the traditional plate of cookies for Santa and an Orange for Rodolph.  And sitting next to it is a doll that my mother made long ago for my Aunt, who was so gracious in giving it to me. She knows what a sentimental freak I am.

And all the hard work of "Santa" and ready for bed...finally at 3am.

Sabrina Christmas morning opening her stocking

Vanessa on Christmas morning opening her stocking as well

Isaac showing off his stocking stuff

Oh yes, and Lilly got coal this year.  hmmm must have been the entire ham she ate four days prior to Christmas that was for the family NOT her.  Santa must have gotten wind of that.

One of the many fun games Isaac got to go with the WII we got the kids

The traditional Grandma Lund Crown Cake for Christmas Breakfast. I've been eating this for Christmas breakfast for nearly 30+ years. It really is yummy.

Isaac shooting some Dino's before dinner

Isaac and Daddy making Dinosaur molds.  I've never seen two happier kids in my life.  I'm so glad they are my happy kids.

And finally the funny video.  We got the kids a Wii for Christmas.  I had to make sure though that they got games to move a lot...ya know don't want any sofa potatoes in my home.  SO we got them the Wii, and some fun games, but their favorite is the game "The Michael Jackson Experience".  They get to dance to all his videos and choose if they want to be Michael Jackson or the backup dancers.  I kid you not this game system was played in our house for almost 8 hours.  Now granted it wasn't all eight at once, but there were three hour stints, and I played most of that time with them as well.  Here is a video of daddy playing with the kids on it.  Such a funny video.  Enjoy.

And my you all have had a wonderful and Merry Christmas.

Love the video! Will had better watch out because if anyone sees him dancing Michael Jackson style they might ruin his hard-won pharmacy career in exchange for a career in music videos.

It looks like you all had a fabulous Christmas! So happy for all but the dog. Serves him right for stealing the ham.

Did your Grandma Lund have a crown cake. I thought that came from grandma Larsen because I have had crown cake all my life.

Yes, Grandma Lund did have crown cake, and this is the recipe that my mom passed onto us girls. It is really easy and yummy. Funny how our families had similar values AND recipies. he he he
