Ahhh, I have the opening song from Grease 2 running through my head. But its a happy day, and here are my cuties all ready for a HOT first day of school. We walked to school this morning and it was already 103 at 8am. Uuuuggghhh it's sooo hot. But my little wilting flowers did well, and they made it to school, ate breakfast and went off to the playground to play before the first bell.
I had a heck of a time shopping for the kids. Isaac was super easy. A few zombie and skeleton T-shirts and he's a happy camper. Sabrina we go to one store for her, and get everything, and she's happy. Vanessa is super picky, into the most weird range on things Ive ever seen. From Goth skulls to Hello Kitty and everything in between, and had to go to 5 different stores. She is gonna be the death of me. Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE shopping and I refuse to do it for very long. I want to get in and out, and not worry about the crowds, or standing around. I wonder if my mom felt the same way when she was taking us school shopping. Anyway all I know is that I have two easy kids so far and one picky child. Its gonna be a bumpy ride. All in all though I got off pretty easy for school shopping. We bough each one three new outfits, new socks undies, and so on. They still have their nice summer wear that they can use. Then around Christmas they will be getting new clothes anyway (I have already bought all 4 outfits each...Disney themed of course since Christmas this year was voted on No presents but a trip to Disneyland in February) and then before school is out I will be buying more school cloths to replace the worn out ones. So they are outfitted just fine.
But they are all happy and healthy and ready to go to school. The last few days they have been asking if its time to go back to school yet. They are as anxious to get to school and start the learning as I am to get some mommy time to get my things done so that I'm not grocery shopping or any of my errands while they are at home. I can be home and there for them when they are home and need me. Its great to get back into a routine. Then in October we will be moving again. But it will be with a two year signed lease. No pool, but its OK we will get a season pass to the water slide park here and then will get the kids a trampoline and sprinklers to play in. I love being a mom.

It's nice to see pictures of the kids. One thing that's hard about having kids in stairstep grades is that once they start moving away from home and going to college, it seems like all of a sudden they are all gone. Almost all at once. Of course by the time they are grown up teenagers, most parents (including myself) are ready for them to be gone. You have such nice kids. Tell them I said hello.
They all look happy and ready for another school year. We are so excited to see you all in a couple of months! Love, Mom
The beginning of the school year is always so exciting! That is so neat that your 3 kids are just one grade apart.
It is always so great to get back to a schedule.
where will you be moving? i guess I wasn't in the loop for that news. The kids look happy and ready for learning.
Cute pictures, sounds like you have a busy couple of months even with the kids in school
