CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES C'MON!!

As Cool and the Gang wrote and sang....Celebrate good times C'mon....I am probably the most
proud person there is alive.

Will got two A's, two C's, and a B+

He is now officially finished with the classroom, and now going to practice as a real Pharmacist.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone says that the fourth year is the easiest of all. I am so looking forward to having my husband home more mentally. He wont be freaking out every week about having to study for this exam or that. What a relief it will be to have him home and be daddy again. I'm sure he is looking forward to that as well.

Congratulations baby, I am so very proud of you. I'm even crying!!

I'm a wanted man..er woman!

I interviewed for a position here in Omaha as a Lead Graphic Designer for a very large national company. I went to the interview and blew them away with my skills and my portfolio. However I had no clue as to what they were paying. Well during the interview they told me, and I was so disappointed. They told me to go home and discuss the opportunity with my family and let them know. I did knowing full well I wasn't going to accept the offer because the pay was not what a "Lead Graphic Designer" would make. So I called and thanked them for the offer, and told them I couldn't make it work financially. He asked me what would make it possible. I told him, and he agreed to it. WOW!! They really must want me. Then he told me that they would give all this to corporate headquarters, have them approve it, and get back to me. So now I'm waiting. But WOW I felt good about this. Someone actually will pay me to be creative and play on the computer doing art and design. Wow!!! So we just wait till next week. I'll keep you posted!!

Watch Out for Your Pharmacist!!

This is a rant blog, so feel free to not read it. I just needed a place to vent.

Ok...so you all know that Will is going to be a Pharmacist. If you didn't, you may have been living on a different planet. Anyway, getting to know his classmates, and how they are, and to hear some of the things that go on, and to know some of the things I know, I am amazed I trusted half the pharmacists I used. Seriously.

His class is known as the cheaters. Over half of them cheated the first time they were put on the Honor Code, and set free to use their Ethics. Scary, but this is even scarier. There is someone in his class whom we have known is not very honest. We have known this for a long time, and we got burned, our other friends got burned, and others took up their sides, and have since come to apologize to us seeing how they too got burned eventually. Well anyway, the thing that is scary about all this, is that this person would do the minimal work possible, and still do it wrong, but because it was in group settings the rest of the group members would correct it, and make up for it. So the instructors didn't really see that this person wasn't doing their share, and well as this person wasn't understanding the material. Well now this person has been marked for life.

Most of this persons class realized that cheating was not the way to go, and never did it again. However this person has found a new way to cheat and be dishonest, and their classmates have all made it very clear that they feel this person is a cheater, and have reported it to numerous faculty members. This person has decided that on days when there are exams they would be conveniently sick. Now I can forgive once, but be honest about it, and don't sit in the classroom while they are going over the answers to the exam knowing full well you never took it. Anyway this has become a habit this semester, and this person has missed many exams due to being "sick". Will has gone to exam days on antibiotics and horrible diarrhea but still managed to study and take the exam on the day it was given.

Any rate this person would pump their classmates for information about how the exam was and what was on it when they would coma back to class the next day. Go figure...such a fast recovery. Then they would sit in the class while the instructor went over all the exam questions, and gave the class the answers to the exam. All the while this person sitting in there knowing full well they never took the exam. Well this didn't go unnoticed by numerous members of Wills class, and they decided to send emails to different professors about this situation. Such dishonesty, such a disgrace to the profession of people who are to have such high ethics.

Well I tell you what, I go to a pharmacy and see this person as the pharmacist, I will run out the door and never look back. Who knows if this person will be solely relying on their techs to get it right for them, and fix this persons mistakes. I hope they throw the book at this person. This just disgusts me, and I will make sure that everyone I know knows where this person is practicing (if they ever can stand on their own without cheating and pass the Naplex) and never go there. This person could seriously hurt someone else. Obviously this person has no scruples or ethics. Such a disgusting disgrace to the profession of Pharmacists. I will be so mad if this person gets away with this. And I'm not the only one. Apparently most of this persons classmates know this about them, and is just as disgusted as I am about this. SICK SICK SICK!!

Braids, Strep and a Tag Your It...

Well this weekend has been most exciting. The girls have been begging me to have their hair braided in corn rows like all the little girls in their classes for years now. Problem is, people charge like 90$ to do it. Yah...like I'm going to spend almost 200$ on the two of them just to have their hair braided. Well anyway, here it is three years later, and they finally have gotten it done. NO I DIDN"T PAY 200$...I'm not that foolish. I'm a bargain hunter, and I found one. One of the teachers there at King Elementary that I interact with all the time has her own salon in her basement. She told me she would do the girls hair for ten dollars each. SOLD!! SO for twenty dollars and eight hours, both the girls got their hair done. I would have thought they would never sit still for that long, but sure enuf they did. They are so cute with them in. I'm wondering how they will look with them out, and I may have the lady do a perm on the two girls. Anyway, that was Friday (they had the day off from school). Then I woke up on Saturday feeling so miserable. I had a fever of 103, and that was with taking 1000mg. of Tylenol, and I had a bad sore throat, I couldn't talk it hurt so badly, and I didn't want to eat a thing. I couldn't handle how miserable I felt. I decided to go to the Instant Care at 8pm, and they decided to do a Strep test. They said it would take 6 min to do it. Apparently it didn't take that long for mine to show up, it was almost instant I guess. The Dr. looked at me and said that I have it pretty bad. SO she gave me a script for Zpack, and a refill on it just in case it doesn't completely go away after the ten days. I'm sure it will. I went to the pharmacy on the way home and they were closed, so I just went home. Will said I should go to a 24 hour pharmacy. I told him I didn't know where one was, so he looked one up for me, and seeing how I felt so miserable, he went and picked it up for me. What a sweet man. I took my antibiotic before I went to bed, and finally around 3am my fever broke, and I was able to sleep peacefully the rest of the night into the morning.OH MY GOSH...Do I feel so much better. It's like night and day. I still feel sick, and not fully myself, but man I tell you what, I am so grateful for medicine. I was at least able to function and be more of a mother and wife than I was on Saturday. Of course I had to stay home from church today so I wouldn't infect anyone else. And finally one of my friends tagged me with this fun A-Z self tidbits that I found fun. SO here you go. I have also put in some pics of our Hyacinths. I adore Lilacs, but because I am not going to be living here next year, I didn't plant any lilac bushes. So I decided to plant Hyacinths instead, and boy are they pretty, and smell so great. Too bad this isn't a scratch and sniff monitor..cause it would make you all want to run out and buy some of these Annuals.
