Back to School and Utah

Sorry guys, I've been away for a while, and I've been busy trying to get into a routine. I feel like I have so much to do, and half of it isn't even done yet. And I'm not working at all at a job outside of the house. I don't now how anything got done. I'm sure it didn't and I just didn't notice it. Anyway, here are some photos of the kids back to school. They got into the Charter school, and it is a very good school.  We then went to Utah to see my little brother get married.  While we were there my parents took the kids on their boat, and their Jet skis, and also on the RZR's.  Then they took Isaac to a super fun resturant called TEMPANYAKI, I highly reccomend it.  Then we visited my grandparents.  Sorry all the photos are out of order. Facebook really did a number on adding them in, but I did post what they were underneath them. ENJOY!!

It's the Mystery Machine!!

Our Scooby Machine in all it's glory!!
Well here is the project I have been working on with the kids all day today...well half the day.  From about 2pm to about 11pm.  They absolutely LOVED doing this.  First we went to Sears to get a refrigerator box for free.  Then we decided to make our own Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo.  The kids helped me cut everything out, and then painted everything with me. They didn't even want to take a break.  They got upset when I had them take a dinner break they were having so much fun. So you may be asking yourself why did we do such a project.  Well the primary has an activity tomorrow.  They are having a "Drive In" movie for the kids.  So the kids are to make their own box cars (with parents help) and then they will sit in and eat in their creations while watching the Disney Movie "Cars".  They are so excited.  Anyway, just wanted to share their creation with you.  Trust me they did about 90 percent of the work themselves.  They had a blast.  Enjoy!!
It's even personalized!!

Our little house guest!!

Don't worry he didn't get hurt.  He does have all 4 legs, the one was just underneath his body.
Hey all...we had an exciting half hour tonight. While daddy was walking from the kitchen to the front room, he spotted a little lizard run across the floor. He of course yelled "lizard" and all kids came running each with their own jar hoping to catch themselves a new pet. Isaac really wanted him. We have been promising Isaac a lizard as a pet since we found out we were moving to Arizona. He has yet to let us forget that. So when daddy yelled lizard, he went running the fastest and hardest. We found him, and of course no one wanted to touch him, but they wanted him in their jars. What do they think...the lizard is just going to jump into their jar and say "please keep me". Um...NO. SO I as the mommy had to catch him and touch him. Once we had him in the jar, we immediately got onto the Internet as everyone was oogling the lizard in the jar to find out what type of lizard he was. SO we looked up common Arizona lizards, and after following some links found out he was not a lizard. We observed that he was able to crawl on the sides of the glass, and that he didn't have a lizard shape head, and he licked his eyeballs. He was in fact a gecko. after searching we found that he was in fact a MEDITERRANEAN HOUSE GECKO. We even found a pic on the Internet that was EXACTLY like him. Anyway, because he could climb the glass we knew we couldn't keep him, that he would escape, and so we had to let him go. Isaac immediately started to cry. He wanted that thing so badly. Then he wanted to watch a lizard movie, and see everything lizard. So we let him go outside with daddy and let the gecko go in his little garden he had planted. That made him happy. But he still reminded us that we "promised" him a lizard as a pet. Anyway, I guess this is very common in AZ to find little lizards and geckos in your house. I don't mind those in the house, and they eat the things I hate...spiders. So good luck little gecko, and eat your weight in spiders. Remember I was nice to you and let you loose..so you better keep my house spider free. Enjoy!!
