Houston we have one less problem
Just a quick note that we have HOT water. That's right we are no longer living in the 18th Century. We are now living in the 1920s until the new cord for the oven arrives. At least we don't have to worry about a famine and when the right moment would be to eat a dog... :)

What's Going On...
Well, I guess I better update everyone on whats been going on. Let me just start by saying, please don't feel sorry for us, I am only writing to update my family and friends as to why I haven't been seen lately, or heard from. As most of you all know we moved this weekend. The moving part was great. We had so many wonderful priesthood holders there to help us move stuff. So thank you to all who came to help. We will have everyone over for a BBQ once we get everything fixed. Also the sisters of our Branch made us a few freezer meals to cook while we were moving so that I didn't haveto worry about making dinner, and I really appreciate it, however we still don't have a way of cooking them (which I'll get to in a min) but I'm sure they will taste yummy when we can cook them. Again than you to all those sisters. Your wonderful.
Now on to the rest of the news. Lets see...we have no water, no heater, no oven, no bathroom etc. So you may wonder what we do have. Well not much except for eachother. I located this house over a month ago. We paid the deposit, and then it was to be their job to get it ready for us during this month before the inspection. Well I then made a moving reservation with Uhaul at that time as well. Picking up the truck on Friday at 2pm and Dropping off Saturday at 2pm. Well first off DONT and I repeat DONT do business with Uhaul in Omaha. They SUCK!! This gal didn't speak English very well, called me on Wednesday to ask me to change my reservation times...I told her NO then she got mad and hung up on me. Then on Thursday she called up yelling at me asking why I'm not there to pick up the van. i politely told her it was Thursday and has been all day, she continued to tell me I was wrong, and yell at me. So I told her I would see her on Friday and HU on her. I then called her boss, and told him that she needed a lesson in Customer Service, and that I was afraid if she was loosing days that she might double charge me. He assured me it wouldn't happen, and not to worry. Well gee guess what this lady did...Yup you guessed it..Double Charged me. SO that started me off on the wrong foot. I then went to the new house to get some stuff, and the house was still at 30 degrees. Why wasn't the heater working?? Well you guessed it, the blower motor went out. So it took them till Saturday afternoon to finally fix it, but that it would still be very cold in the house for a while. Yah it was...didn't get up to 70 till about 5 in the afternoon the next day on Saturday when we had everyone moving stuff into our new place. So no one took off their coats while unpacking boxes. Finally it got a little warm, and all of us were able to sleep. Now during this entire time, the water pipes burst in the house, so the workmen were fixing pipes all week long, and even on Saturday and Sunday. Also the stove that was to be delivered to us wasn't, and so they had to scrounge up another one. They couldn't find a gas stove, so they had to wire in a 220 line for an electric stove. The 220 line is a three prong on the stove, and they installed a 4 prong. Idiots!! So now we still don't have a stove, water is still not working, the carpet hasn't been repaired, the upstairs hasn't been painted, the cleaner lady hasn't been there to clean, I've done most of it, and now the heater broke AGAIN last night. I'm getting very very upset, and I don't know what to do. We have put so much work into this, we moved all our stuff in, and so forth, but it is taking a long time. So now we shower at the truck stops, we eat fast food for hot food, and chips and fruit for cold food, and we do laundry at the laundry mat. We have a camping potty we use at home, and we are essentially camping inside. I want it fixed. I'm so tired of it not being repaired. Hopefully they will get water to us today. I'd give anything to shower in my own home!!
Well that is my update, hopefully next week I will have much better news to report. So this is why I have been recluse, and not calling anyone. And to top it off it was Sabrina's and My birthday this weekend, and neither of us had a very good one. Memorable, but not fun.

WE ARE MOVING THIS WEEKEND

SOME RESULTS!
Well here we are some results from our painting effort. We repainted everything, put new knobs on cabinets, and new ceiling fans and all that jazz. It will look even better when we have our furniture in it, and it looks like a home.
I put up white tab topped curtains, and new knobs.
Here is the girls purple room. I haven't gotten the fairies yet, and stuff to accent the walls, but soon enuf. Don't have tons of money right now. We haveto do a little at a time.
This is Isaacs jungle room. We are going to put up Tigers and such on the walls. I also am going to make him a curtain, and matching bed spread for Christmas.
All the fake greenery was 50% off at hobby lobby, so I felt good about buying it.
Here is my front room and dining room combo. It is a cocoa color, and it is really cozy and inviting. I loved being able to put up the vinyl saying. Made the house just a little nicer I thought.
Here is our front door with our new doorbell. It plays music when you ring it, instead of just the old fashioned "Ding Dong".
Here is my honey putting up the ceiling fans for the dining room. What a sweet man for doing this. I can do a lot of things, but I am totally baffled about house wiring and putting up ceiling fans. The girls have one in their room, Isaac has one in his room, we have one in our room, Mom has some upstairs in her kitchen and bedroom. Thank goodness for Walmart and their cheap prices. But here is the full vinyl saying. I felt it appropriate for our home. Now we just need to have some help moving in next weekend and everything will be just fine. HOPEFULLY!

My Sixth...
Well its sorta funny that this was my sixth picture in my sixth folder.

Anyway what it is a picture of is my ugly kitchen in the new house with Nessie. Funny I was going to post the before pics tonight anyway. SO I guess it works out great. Here are the before pics of the rooms we painted. They looked pretty bad. I am going to take some pics tomorrow when I have daylight so you can see the end result of many many many hours of painting, and economic stimulation. It is almost midnight, and I just got home half an hour ago from painting, so I will make this post brief.

Our BUSY Weekend
Well here are our weekend plans. We are stimulating the economy this weekend as well as doing a lot of work. In our new house we will be renting, we are allowed to paint the rooms whatever colors we want to. I am so excited to live in a place where it wont look like an institution, where I will actually have color on the walls. We are going for all neutral colors though, very warm colors. We have a light brown in the front room, dining room and main bathroom. Then in the kitchen we are going with a light and dark green. In Isaac's room we are going with a jungle green since we will be doing a tiger theme in there, and putting up fake palm leaves and such. Then in the girls room we will be doing a purple for fairy's and flowers. I will be getting a white picket fence to put up against the wall to make it look like they are outdoors, and put flowers in it. I saw it in a magazine and it is really cute. Then in our bedroom I am not sure what color to do. We will see what we have leftover, or do it later. I have gotten new kitchen knobs for all the cabinets to match, and I am really excited for the finished product. I will post before and after pics here when we get it done. Then we have to buy a fridge, since it doesn't come with one, and we have to have that to pass inspection, then we are getting a portable dishwasher, a TV stand, rocker recliner, and small love seat since our large sofa will not, and I'm sad to say will not fit in this room. Anyway, we are hopefully going to have a nice looking house by the time it is all said and done. The kids are all ready to help paint, they each have their own roller, and I have PLENTY of drop cloths to protect the floors, and such. Each child will be let loose on their own walls, while being supervised. Hopefully they will be good, and not slop all over. We are doing this now, so that when they clean the carpets professionally, and do the housecleaning professionally we have already done the painting, and wont slop on clean carpets. Plus I don't want to have to contend with covering furniture either when we move in. It's just easier to do it now. So wish us luck on our long weekend, and hopefully we get it all done. We are not doing the upstairs, since Mom said she wanted to do that when she got out here, so we will let her do that. It will give her something to do, and make her feel good about it. I know we will help her, but she wants to do it, so I will let her. The kids are so excited for Grandma to come.
