Sing a little song...Do a little Dance...Get Down Tonight!

Wow, it is so nice to finally be able to have the smell of homemade bread in the house again. I got my Bosh bowl in the mail yesterday, and do I promptly washed it in the dishwasher, oiled it really well with olive oil, and then proceeded to make my first loaf of homemade bread in over 5 months. All the kids were swarming around me, and didn't want to go to bed. Finally with the promises of eating the bread for breakfast they all reluctantly went to bed. Each of them waking in the morning asking if they could have their bread now. It's so nice to know they too love the taste of homemade bread with a little real butter put on top. Here are the beauties. They tasted really good too. In fact I got sick because I ate a piece with some honey on it. I can't stomach honey or more than half a piece of bread at a time. But it was worth getting sick over.

Bad Me!!

OK OK I know I messed up. I didn't post anything for yesterday or the day before. I have a good reason...My camera (well my point and shoot) ran out of batteries and I need to get to the store. However I haven't had time, since here is my day yesterday. I woke up at 8am, got dressed, showered, and then got my mother in law, myself and Nessie into the car. Sabrina stayed home to have Daddy time, and Isaac was home sick. SO I started driving, and didn't stop driving till about 1am this morning. I drove 18 hours. I'm TIRED, yet here I am at work. I did have one hang up though driving back home. Nessie was such a good girl the entire way. But as we all do when driving, we ate bad food for us. "The Drive Through Window", and our bodies didn't like us for it, since we don't do it very often. Well about an hour away from home in the pitch dark of night, away from any sign of civilization, Nessie woke up instantly and threw up all over me, the car, the console, the portable DVD player...EVERYTHING! Well since I was alone, and didn't want to get out anywhere but a WELL LIT Gas station, I drove like that for 1/2 and hour. I then got out and cleaned up as best I could. I had to throw out the DVD player (there was throw up inside it where I didn't know throw up could go. Absolutely no way to save it. I threw out the mat, and then put all her clothes and shoes into a plastic bag. I then drove the rest of the way home smelling vomit and "Christmas Spice" air freshener. Needless to say I was never happier to get out of the car. It needs a good shampooing. Which when I can afford it...will be done. Nessie feels fine now, so I think it was just a combo of driving all day and eating bad food that our bodies weren't used to. So now I am off to get new batteries, and take my pictures. It's too much to lug around my big SLR just to take candids on this project. But I use it more than I do this point and shoot. Anyway..I will be much better tomorrow about documenting my life. I promise.

Day Four - Extreem Buying Power!

OK...Here we go. This was a lot of fun. I woke up, and looked at my email as I usually do. I then got an email saying I was outbid on this BOSH bowl and to enter a higher bid. I only had 10 min to do so. So I upped my bid, and watched in anticipation. Mind you I was looking at having to spend over 80$ plus shipping to replace my broken BOSH bowl. So I watched and watched. It went up dollar by dollar for a little bit, and then at about 2 min stopped at my price. of 51$ with free shipping. I continued to watch and watch, and I WON!!! 51$ for my bowl replacement. I did a little dance, ad went to check out and pay for it. Even better news arrived for me. I had a 10% off coupon from Ebay on ANY item. SO I used it. I paid 47$ for my new Bosh bowl. That's a savings of over 50%. Actually more since I am getting a dough hook, the splash ring and top which were an additional 65$ from the Bosh replacement store. SO I got a steal of a deal.

Then the kids came downstairs for breakfast. I made cinnamon rolls, and they were really yummy.
Then Nessie hurt herself, so we had to ice her big bruise. Poor thing.

Then we got ready and headed to take Grandma to Vala's Pumpkin Patch. Holy smokes it was swamped. But the kids all had a great time.
It was Star Wars days at the pumpkin patch, and so we snapped these cool pics. Sabrina was afraid, so she wasn't in any of them. We thought about Taylor and BenBen and Owen while we were there, and said that maybe one year they could come see the storm troopers and visit. It was a really fun time. One question though....how do you get a straight man to wear black spandex with white thingies taped to him I will never know.

The kids also made old fashioned candles. They had fun doing that as well.

We were there for about 5 hours. They wore poor Grandma out. And Myself. So we came home and relaxed and all went to bed early.

Day Three - ROAD TRIP!

Ok. Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday morning. Trust me, my day wasn't that hard to forget. I went to bed, and then woke up 1am. I got all the kids into the car (Carrying each of them asleep down 2 flights of stairs to the car) And then said my prayer for the safety of us and the car. So here is the time we left the driveway. 1:12 am. And so starts my 7 hour driving journey all alone with my thoughts and three sleeping children.

Sabrina was in the front seat with it pushed all the way down. She did really well that way. Still wished I had a mini van to do this with.
I accidentally woke up Nessie while taking this picture, but she quickly fell back asleep. She was laying down on the back seat sleeping.
And here is Isaac asleep. He was lying ion the floor of the back seat, but apparently he sat up to put his head on the back seat and slept sitting up. Kids can sleep in the funniest positions.
Anyway I continued to drive forever, and saw my first sunrise in a very long time. I don't ever get up this early. Unless there is a good reason.
Here it is a lot lighter outside, but still really early. I ended up getting to Mom Caffertys by 8:30 am. Only about 1/2 hour after the kids woke up for the day.
We then stopped off at IHOP for breakfast, and sat and visited till about 10, and then headed back in the car to Nebraska. We got home ab0ut 7 pm. At that point since I was up forever, I went to sleep.

By the way....I don't reccomend taking midterms, being up all night, and getting a 2 hour nap, and then driving for 16 hours straight. Not the best of ideas.
